60174 is a martensitic precipitation-hardening (17-4 PH) stainless steel powder that combines high strength, hardness, and excellent corrosion resistance, with reliable performance at temperatures up to 316°C (600°F). The alloy offers good processability and can be precipitation hardened through a simple low-temperature heat treatment to achieve a wide range of strength and toughness combinations. Its balanced mechanical properties, ease of processing, and excellent additive manufacturing performance make 60174 suitable for rapid tooling, functional components, prototypes, medical instruments, aerospace, electronics, consumer products, and a broad range of general engineering applications.
